About the role

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Reconciliation Analyst to join our Alternative Investments Syndicated Bank Loans Team.
  • This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate position data by reconciling Northern Trust's records with those of Investment Managers, and third-party vendors.
  • In this role you will also be responsible for processing pending trades and capitalized interest transactions-supporting the accuracy and integrity of loan activity and balances.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily position reconciliations across assigned accounts using internal reconciliation tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Process and validate pending trades and capitalized interest transactions to ensure timely and accurate updates to loan positions.
  • Collaborate with Investment Managers and internal departments (e.g. accounting, client services) to address breaks and data discrepancies.
  • Document reconciliation findings, resolution steps, and track outstanding issues.
  • Gain fluency in internal systems, proprietary software, and reconciliation tools to support daily workflows.
  • This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a foundation in financial operations within a dynamic, high-accountability environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Internship/work experience or academic experience in finance, accounting, loan servicing, or trade operations

  • Required:

  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability
