About the role

  • JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company.
  • SUMMARY: The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing end-to-end processes and operations within the branch location.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: - The incumbent will directly and/or indirectly supervise up to 50 employees.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize branch transactions, increase sales and decrease costs.
  • Optimize staffing productivity to assume best use of all resources.
  • Develop and expand customer relationships together with sales.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and people management experience, including recruitment, training and development, coaching, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both open and confidential settings.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel will be (up to 20%) required in support of the position's responsibilities.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Strong financial acumen, experience managing P&L.
  • Experience across air, ocean, and supply chain/logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of market dynamics, competitors, trends, and challenges within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Experience with CargoWise is a plus.
  • Additional international language skills are a plus.
