  • The best candidates combine rigorous data science with real fluency in how wholesale energy markets work, and can turn that analysis into clear, well-vetted recommendations for the rest of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a tested, heavily vetted opinion on any energy market or product Base is considering selling into
  • Fluency in data science and data visualization - you choose the right analytical approach for categorical versus continuous data, and turn complex network behavior into charts that drive clear business decisions
  • That means building and defending the models that decide which markets and products Base participates in, from real-time arbitrage to multi-year distribution deals.
  • You'll work alongside traders, market operations engineers, and policy leads who bring the same rigor to distribution-scale energy that a trading desk brings to wholesale power.
  • Be direct, be humble, and maintain a growth mindset.
  • Follow through on commitments and own results.
