About the role

LOCATION: West Side YMCA BAND: 4 WAGE RANGE: $30-$33/per hour JOB SUMMARY The Redeemer Lincoln Square (LSQ) Sunday Morning Teacher plays a key role in the spiritual formation of children from 25 months old through 5th grade at LSQ.
This role involves implementing gospel-centered curriculum, creating engaging and age-appropriate classroom environments and helping children grow in their understanding of God's love.
Guide children through Bible stories, prayer, worship, crafts and small-group activities.

Teachers are expected to attend at least one curriculum training led by LSQ staff, lead with energy and care and partner with parents in the discipleship of their children.
JOB DESCRIPTION Teach and lead age-appropriate Bible lessons using LSQ Kids' approved curriculum.
Create a welcoming, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
Maintain safety and order in the classroom, following LSQ's child protection guidelines.
Collaborate with LSQ Kids staff and volunteers to ensure a smooth Sunday experience.
Attend mandatory training sessions each year to review policies & procedures and build community as volunteers so that as a staff we can continue to serve the children of Redeemer Lincoln Square safely and effectively.
These tools support, but do not replace, human review and decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS Must be available to work at least 3 Sunday morning shifts every month.
Must be punctual and responsible.
Must be able to follow safety guidelines and adapt to children's needs; attend mandatory CPR, Anti-Harassment and other training provided.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs and be on your feet for a portion of the shift.

QUALIFICATIONS At least 1 year of experience teaching or working with young children in a ministry or educational setting.
Must embrace LSQ's vision and have a gospel-oriented heart for children and families in NYC.
