About the role

Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback to promote academic success.
Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Teach principles of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
Maintain a safe, organized, and industry-relevant laboratory environment.
Build relationships with local industry partners to support internships, advisory committees, and workforce needs.
Support student recruitment, retention, and completion initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial safety, and preventive maintenance practices.
Ability to effectively teach and mentor students from diverse backgrounds.
Maintain accurate student attendance, grades, and required documentation.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors OR Associates in related field and 1000 hours OR 4000 hours of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.

Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or workforce development experience.
Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
Experience with automation, VFDs, data collection for maintenance, industry 4.0 methodologies or smart manufacturing technologies.
Industry certifications related to industrial maintenance, electrical systems, PLC programming, or automation.
