About the role
- They will be responsible for daily warehouse operations and activities, including order fulfillment, inventory handling, and communication between teams.
- This position plays a crucial role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and smooth communication across departments while supporting shipping, receiving, and internal logistics of the branch.
- Verification & Quality Assurance - Verify packing slips and double-check pulled orders. - Serve as a second set of eyes for paperwork verification before delivery. - Ensure order documentation is complete and properly filed.
Responsibilities
- Perform put-aways and maintain accurate storage of items.
- Perform routine cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Handle product rotations to maintain product integrity and reduce waste.
- Clean and organize the warehouse and laydown yard to maintain safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds at times.
Nice to have
- Pull and verify customer orders and transfers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Assist in dispatching and route planning if volume requires.
- Process and verify purchase orders, transfers, and physical receipts.
- Verify packing slips and double-check pulled orders.
- Serve as a second set of eyes for paperwork verification before delivery.
- Ensure order documentation is complete and properly filed.
- Face shelves/ restock inventory regularly, in accordance with FIFO practices.
