- Seeking a Civil Engineering Project Engineer supporting roadway and highway design and transportation engineering projects.
- Support project managers in coordinating with clients to understand project scope and objectives.
- Analyze survey data, traffic patterns, and other relevant data to optimize road design and ensure functionality and safety.
- Provide technical input and support to junior engineers on project designs, drafting plans, drawings, and modeling according to project specifications.
- Execute assigned project tasks and phases and deliver defined technical work products within assigned scopes.
- Support the Engineer of Record in preparing design packages and documentation.
- The primary project focus will be on supporting roadway projects, including highway and bridge design for DOT clients.
- Develop detailed roadway design plans, models, and drawings using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Bentley), ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) professional designation required
- Working knowledge of federal and state roadway regulations and processes
Nice to have
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or on track to obtain PE
