About the role

  • Utilizing our broad expertise and experience, we customize solutions to best meet our client's needs.
  • As a skilled Field Operations Technician, you will utilize your technical background to work on restoration activities, preventative maintenance, and installation.
  • Lastly, you will test circuits using optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high‑quality, customer‑focused service experience to every client
  • Perform on‑site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack‑mounted networking equipment
  • Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
  • We act as a key partner for our clients by delivering exceptional quality, reliability, and safety in all that we do.
  • Your emphasis on building trust with clients and providing a best-in-class approach to customer service will be the foundation for success.
  • You will perform installation, repair, configuration and testing of moves, additions, changes and disconnects (MACD) on various Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment.
  • Additionally, you will work with similar products to support customer optical, electrical, voice and data services.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment
  • All applicants must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • A positive, "can-do" attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and sincerity
  • Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have

  • Five plus years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling
  • Degree or diploma from a technical college would be preferred
