About the role

Join WellPower's Intensive Treatment team and gain hands on clinical experience providing trauma informed, culturally responsive mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families.
This internship is embedded within Homebased and STAY SAFE services, which provide short term, stabilization focused interventions for youth experiencing acute mental health needs, including suicidal ideation or recent suicide attempts.
Services are primarily delivered in homes, clinics, schools, and other community settings.

The intern will have the opportunity to provide individual therapy, family therapy, crisis support, safety planning, psychoeducation, and case management services under close supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Second year students preferred.
Minimum of 10 hours per week, with 15 to 20 hours preferred, along with a 9-to-12-month commitment aligned with the academic calendar.

Delivering psychoeducation related to mental health, coping skills, and family systems
Engaging in case management and coordination with schools, medical providers, and community partners
