Responsibilities

  • Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations with sufficient detail and backup to verify account balances.
  • Lead the Goose Island Beer Company's monthly financial close process to meet all month end objectives and timelines.
  • Develop product costing for innovation products and monitor actual production costs for profitability.
  • Lead Goose Island Beer Company's budgeting process and monitor financial performance versus budget.
  • Continually create forecasts for expected financial performance compared to budget.
  • Develop and report various Key Performance Indicator scorecards and trackers that track performance at the brewery and drive continued efficiencies.
  • Report and deliver monthly financial reporting package to Goose Island Beer Company's senior leadership team.
  • Support federal, state, or internal audits to ensure compliance and verify financial information.
  • Provide support for ERP system (SAP Business One/OBeer) and ensure purchasing, production, and shipments are processed correctly.
  • Provide guidance and support for one direct report (Senior Accountant).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • For more than 165 years, we have delivered a legacy of brewing great-tasting, high-quality beers that have satisfied beer drinkers for generations.
  • Highly proficient with Excel.

Nice to have

  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Previous experience in alcohol industry or CPG is preferred.

Compensation

  • $120,000 - $133,000, bonus and long-term incentive eligible
