Responsibilities
- Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations with sufficient detail and backup to verify account balances.
- Lead the Goose Island Beer Company's monthly financial close process to meet all month end objectives and timelines.
- Develop product costing for innovation products and monitor actual production costs for profitability.
- Lead Goose Island Beer Company's budgeting process and monitor financial performance versus budget.
- Continually create forecasts for expected financial performance compared to budget.
- Develop and report various Key Performance Indicator scorecards and trackers that track performance at the brewery and drive continued efficiencies.
- Report and deliver monthly financial reporting package to Goose Island Beer Company's senior leadership team.
- Support federal, state, or internal audits to ensure compliance and verify financial information.
- Provide support for ERP system (SAP Business One/OBeer) and ensure purchasing, production, and shipments are processed correctly.
- Provide guidance and support for one direct report (Senior Accountant).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- For more than 165 years, we have delivered a legacy of brewing great-tasting, high-quality beers that have satisfied beer drinkers for generations.
- Highly proficient with Excel.
Nice to have
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Previous experience in alcohol industry or CPG is preferred.
Compensation
- $120,000 - $133,000, bonus and long-term incentive eligible
