About the role
- The Pharmacy Technician, Non-Sterile Compounding delivers measurable business impact by producing high-quality, customized non-sterile medications that expand patient access in a high-growth 503A/503B environment.
- This role owns end-to-end compounding execution, ensuring precision, compliance, and throughput across formulations.
- The Technician operates within strict USP, FDA, and state requirements to safeguard product integrity while supporting scalable production, documentation accuracy, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final verification checks to support product uniformity, potency, labeling accuracy, and quality standards.
- Clean and maintain compounding equipment according to established schedules to support safety, reliability, and compliance.
- Apply proper PPE usage, hazardous material handling, and safety practices to maintain a safe and controlled compounding environment.
- Partner with Quality, Regulatory, and Production teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and support continuous improvement.

Requirements
- While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.
- Employees are regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus.
- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- 1+ year of experience in non-sterile compounding, combining, admixing, diluting, pooling, reconstituting, packaging, and labeling medications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Technician Trainee license required.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow technical documents and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and use pharmaceutical-grade compounding equipment.
Nice to have
- Associate degree in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, chemical or industrial engineering, pharmaceutics, or industrial pharmacy preferred.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Nonsterile Compounding Certificate preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma White Belt preferred.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of non-sterile compounding techniques, USP 795/800 standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with compounding equipment and digital systems such as LifeFile.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, reduce errors, and improve production outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
