About the role

  • You'll report directly to the Managing Attorney and play a hands-on role in case strategy, client advocacy, and court representation.
  • This is not a passive, advisory-only role.
  • You'll be actively managing cases, appearing before immigration courts, preparing filings, and guiding clients through complex and time-sensitive immigration processes.

Responsibilities

  • Handle appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals and other relevant courts, building strong, well-supported legal arguments
  • Collaborate with internal teams by providing guidance on case strategy and supporting client-related inquiries
  • We work with clients across the U.S. and around the world - in English and Spanish - helping families reunite, seek safety, and build a brighter future.

Requirements

  • Candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively, including speaking and hearing, as well as using their hands for tasks such as typing or handling materials.
  • Limited lifting may also be required.
  • Confident in court, with the ability to advocate clearly and effectively under pressure
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in the legal services industry.
  • Active and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • Experience in US Immigration Law, including family-based and humanitarian-based petitions.
  • Proficient with learning and troubleshooting new technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
