About the role
- The position is critical to supporting our financial close processes, managing system security and workflows, and driving continuous improvement of our ERP platform.
- This is a full-time (40 hours per week), exempt/salaried position.
Responsibilities
- This position has no direct reports but will coordinate work with external SAP consulting partners and provide guidance to end users across the organization.
- Configure and maintain revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606/IFRS 15 standards
- Optimize chart of accounts, cost centers, profit centers, and financial reporting structures
- Support subscription billing and recurring revenue management business processes
- Partner with CFO, Controller, and accounting team on system enhancements and process improvements
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions using SAP Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles
- Design and maintain role-based security following segregation of duties (SOD) best practices
- Configure and maintain workflows, approval processes, and business process automation
- Support quarterly system updates, testing cycles, and deployment of new functionality
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures

- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Deep expertise in SAP Finance modules: Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR), Asset Accounting (AA)
- Proven workflow configuration experience: customizing approval processes, business rules, and automation
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during month-end/year-end close periods or system updates.
- Minimal travel required.

Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field required
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (Public Cloud strongly preferred)
- SAP certification in S/4HANA Finance or related modules highly preferred
- Advanced degree (MBA, MAcc, MS in Information Systems) a plus
Skills
- Construction industry experience with Project Systems (PS) and project-based costing
- Supply Chain experience including Materials Management (MM), Warehouse Management, and Inventory Management
- Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and extensibility
- Experience with SAP Preferred Success tools (CloudALM, Test Automation)
- Post-implementation optimization or system rescue project experience
- Experience in subscription-based or recurring revenue business models
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, technical procedures, and system documentation
- Ability to write clear system documentation, training materials, and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to senior management, business users, and technical teams
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences in clear, understandable terms
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Compensation
- Compensation Range: $140-$155k annually
