About the role
- Job Description Summary Organizational Summary Statement: This position is available within the University of Maryland's Division of Information Technology (DIT).
- The specialist is responsible for assisting faculty users and local department staff with instructional technology infrastructure.
Requirements
- The specialist will also be required to troubleshoot Crestron control processors, touch panels, routers, audio DSPs (Crestron and others) and Crestron peripherals to support instructional technology classrooms.
- May be required to work evenings, nights, weekends, or different shifts for extended periods.**
- Must be able to operate test equipment, machinery and AV equipment
Skills
- Proficient with rack fabrication & wiring.
- Strong understanding of signal flow, signal formats, & transportation protocols.
- Crestron configuration knowledge, along with their software suite.
- Audio DSP knowledge (QSys & Biamp).
- Wireless microphone systems knowledge.
- AV system commissioning knowledge
- EDID & HDCP knowledge.
- Networking for AVoIP, Dante, AES67, NDI, etc knowledge.
- General Networking knowledge.
- AVIXA CTS & other industry certifications.
Compensation
- $75,840.00 - $91,008.00
