About the role

The Facilities Mechanic I is responsible for preventive and routine maintenance of facility equipment, compounding equipment, and facility maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and paint.
This role is to troubleshoot issues, repair failures of compounding and facility equipment, and to ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.
Schedule: 2nd shift Monday-Friday 3:00pm - 12:00am.

Ability to sit, balance, climb, stand, bend, squat, squeeze, kneel, turn, crouch, and stoop repeatedly.

2nd shift Monday-Friday 3:00pm - 12:00am.
3 rd shift Friday- Sunday 5:00am - 6:00pm.
Overtime will be required for this position.
Repairs, installs, and adjusts industrial machinery such as compounding vessels, pumps, grinders, mixers, air compressors, boilers, chillers, vacuum system, dust collection systems, and HVAC.
Troubleshoots and repairs pneumatic switches, valves, and cylinders.
Assists in the installation and set-up of new equipment to include electrical, air, and ventilation as needed.
Assists in the repair, replacement and maintenance of drywall, flooring, ceiling tiles, leaks, plumbing, and other facility maintenance tasks as needed.
Responds to work order requests in a timely fashion.

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and precision, as well as good problem-solving skills.
Familiar with welding and machine shop work.
Familiarity with the operation of industrial lift trucks and scissor/boom lifts.
Electrical troubleshooting skills familiarity.
Familiar with industrial tools and equipment.
Spanish is a plus but not required.
Experience Required High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
