About the role
- The SDET is responsible for testing the company's products to ensure that company standards and specifications are met.
- include executing test cases, creating and running automated scripts, creating defect reports, and working with Software Engineers to troubleshoot issues.
- Also, the SDET works closely with the Manager, Application Engineering to ensure that the product is meeting the Waystar quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Analyze user stories and functional requirements to create detailed test plans.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Document and maintain test cases and results.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and service layers.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and validate fixes.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and QA best practices.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with X12 transactions.
- Knowledge of performance and load testing tools.
