- Building high-reliability data pipelines and APIs to connect to dozens of utilities and public energy sources.
- Building infra that allows coding agents and AI tools to automate workflows across the stack.
- First-principles thinker - you choose tools based on logic, not hype, and can build an efficient and cost-effective infrastructure.
- Independent executor - you don't need handholding; you define, scope, and deliver.
- Ambitious - you care deeply about impact and are willing to put in the work to want to help build something big.
Requirements
- Nimble builder - you can ship an MVP in a short time, then iterate it into something robust.
- Communicator - you can explain your work to both engineers and execs, and they'll actually get it.
Skills
- pipelines, databases, APIs, and the foundations for coding agents and LLM workflows.
- Architecting databases and ingestion systems for time-series energy data, billing, and telemetry.
- Designing GCP infrastructure (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager) for scale and cost efficiency.
