About the role
- Working collaboratively with the maintenance team, the Certified Electrician is responsible for executing maintenance programs and electrical projects to ensure the reliable operation of all electrical systems within the mill environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, controls, and wiring on all mill equipment.
- Planning & Continuous Improvement Develop and implement maintenance plans in collaboration with the maintenance team.
- Support initiatives that improve efficiency, reliability, and cost savings.

- This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Replace and repair faulty electrical components including motors, relays, switches, and gearboxes.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Work with live voltage (up to 480 VAC) for troubleshooting purposes.
- Utilize diagnostic and monitoring equipment to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation efforts aligned with company goals.
