About the role

  • The Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial and accounting operations of Bozeman Health and affiliates through journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, asset record keeping and financial reporting.
  • This role plays a key part in the monthly close process, fixed asset accounting, Foundation accounting and health and benefit plan accounting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
  • Required:
  • Two (2) years of accounting experience.
  • Preferred:
  • One (1) to Two (2) years of healthcare experience.
  • Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Asset Management tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and balance sheet accounts.
  • Lead year-end physical inventory process and validation.
  • Compile Foundation accounting records and produce financial reports.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
