About the role
- The role spans a wide range of domains on purpose.
- They are someone a few years into their career who has built real range across Linux, networking, and scripting, and who gets energy from variety rather than being slowed down by it.
Responsibilities
- Own PC fleet management, including provisioning, imaging, Ansible-based configuration, and Teamviewer enrollment for both internal and customer site machines
- Troubleshoot and resolve GPU driver issues and kernel update problems that cause production downtime at customer sites, then build SOPs so the fix is never tribal knowledge again
- Support internal IT requests from all teams, including tool integrations, access management, onboarding and offboarding provisioning, and network configuration
- Own the IT intake process, including standing up a clear ticketing workflow and making it easy for anyone within the organization to know where to route a request
- Field customer site IT support, especially for activation machines, license servers, and network misconfigurations that require fast turnaround
- Shadow and document existing systems in the first few weeks, then take increasing ownership across:
- We need one person to own that surface.
- Someone who can walk into an ambiguous IT situation, figure out what needs to happen, and drive it to resolution without needing to be managed through it.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in IT systems administration, infrastructure, or a related technical role
- Networking fundamentals, including ability to diagnose and resolve common configuration issues
- Some experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
