Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and test parts within the hydrogen management system to meet critical performance requirements
- Work collaboratively with analysts to drive design decisions based on first principles
- Participate in component design reviews, fabricating and testing first-of-a-kind prototypes to validate system design choices
- Conduct critical vendor engagements and collaborate with manufacturing engineers to transition system designs from prototype to high-volume production
- Collaborate with the Battery Cell and Systems teams to co-develop auxiliary systems
- Work hand-in-hand with senior engineers and learn our product design best practices
- Understanding of first-principles modeling and design and experience optimizing designs for manufacturing and cost-down
- Demonstrated experience contributing to mechanical design, balance-of-plant systems, and interdisciplinary interfaces of airflow systems
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Bachelor's with 2+ years of industry experience in mechanical design of equipment, liquid or gas handling systems
