  • This will be accomplished through the use of process improvement methodologies utilizing DMAIC, DOE, FMEA, Process Mapping, 6S, etc.

  • The Process Engineer II will identify improvement opportunities that align with strategic objectives and lead multi-disciplined teams improving existing processes, reducing costs, and assisting in the implementation of new manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering and over 2 years Process, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering experience
  • Thorough understanding and demonstrated working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean tools and techniques (DMAIC, DOE, FMEA, SPC, Process Mapping, etc.)
  • Experience with statistical software such as Minitab or SPC for Excel, flowcharting and process mapping software
  • the ability to train others in use
  • Learn and retain a working knowledge of company initiatives, processes, laboratory testing and quality control procedures, as necessary to meet company needs

Skills

  • Professional attitude and work ethic, and a self-starter with a desire to achieve results
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, from floor level through the management level
  • Proven team leadership skills and the ability to influence others at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledgeable of process engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, and material
  • Capable of process documentation such as manufacturing routings, task descriptions, work center definitions
  • Experience with project costing, bid package preparation and execution (desirable)
  • Experience leading cross-functional problem-solving teams with demonstrated success
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Familiar with design of machinery fundamentals
