About the role
- DA VINCI SCHOOLS LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE TEACHER - Chemistry (August through November) DEFINITION Long-term Substitute Teaching position for Chemistry.
- As a project-based school, class curricula are centered around projects, which teach students the essential skills and knowledge of a course.
- Pursue a variety of methodology in teaching and instructing pupils, including mini-lessons, demonstrations, discussions, laboratory experiences, and other instructional methods.
Responsibilities
- Da Vinci Schools are project-based, college preparatory schools, each with a distinct focus which drives the curriculum students take in addition to their A-G college preparatory requirements.
- Da Vinci teachers use Mastery Based Grading and work with industry partners to provide real-world connections to their projects.
- Create and facilitate inquiry-based project-based curriculum
- Actively create space for diverse voices and points of view that reinforce each student's identity
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and a California Single Subject credential with authorization to teach Chemistry, including English Learner Authorization;
- Successful completion of interview, screen process and hiring requirements
- Commitment to the goals and philosophy of Da Vinci Schools
