About the role

The candidate will assist on projects to benchmark next generation vehicle systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and/or analyze their impacts at individual, regional and national level.
The projects and interests of this group span all modes of transportation including off-road, rail & marine applications too.
Researchers are responsible for supporting the PIs on their specific projects.

Recent or soon-to-be-completed PhD (typically completed within the last 0-5 years)in Engineering or similar program.
Proficiency in simulation tools used in analyzing vehicle energy consumption.
Passion for and experience in data-driven modeling and analysis.
Familiarity with a wide range of tools and techniques relevant for vehicle modelling and simulation analysis, with expertise in Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow and preferably Autonomie.
Highly motivated and detail oriented with the ability to work independently and in close collaboration with team members.
Skilled written and verbal communicator, including the ability to present complex information so that it is understandable to a broad audience.
Strong computer skills relevant for data manipulation and analysis including experience with creating and using complex models in Simulink & scripting in Matlab, Python, R.
