About the role
- The candidate will assist on projects to benchmark next generation vehicle systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and/or analyze their impacts at individual, regional and national level.
- The projects and interests of this group span all modes of transportation including off-road, rail & marine applications too.
- Researchers are responsible for supporting the PIs on their specific projects.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to perform vehicle modelling and simulation as well as techno-economic analysis and writing scientific publications.
Requirements
- Recent or soon-to-be-completed PhD (typically completed within the last 0-5 years)in Engineering or similar program.
- Proficiency in simulation tools used in analyzing vehicle energy consumption.
- Passion for and experience in data-driven modeling and analysis.
- Familiarity with a wide range of tools and techniques relevant for vehicle modelling and simulation analysis, with expertise in Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow and preferably Autonomie.
- Highly motivated and detail oriented with the ability to work independently and in close collaboration with team members.
- Skilled written and verbal communicator, including the ability to present complex information so that it is understandable to a broad audience.
- Strong computer skills relevant for data manipulation and analysis including experience with creating and using complex models in Simulink & scripting in Matlab, Python, R.
