About the role
- Under semi-direct supervision, be responsible for material accountability (receive, identify, inspect, cycle count, record), unloading and/or shipping materials and supplies in the operation of the RDC and storage yards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels based on current requirements through inventory cycle counts; perform discrepancy adjustments with appropriate approval and process all associated records.
- Perform similar or less skilled work.
- Perform duties in accordance with Company safety rules, operating regulations, and practice.

Requirements
- Must have sufficient knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities listed above and also have the physical capabilities to perform the required work.
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of logistics related to shipping and relocating inventory.
- Must be able to work independently and possess good communication skills.
- A Physical Ability Test (PAT) test is required
- Must be able to operate stores material handling equipment and road vehicles
- Must have a good working knowledge of all Material Services instructions and procedures as they apply to regular job responsibilities and must qualify through demonstration and a written examination
- Demonstrate the ability to train, instruct and direct other employees
- Must have demonstrated the ability to keep neat, concise and accurate records
- Must be able to safely lift and handle materials and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
- process and file required records which may include picking up, hauling and delivering materials and operating Company automotive equipment such as cars and trucks.
Nice to have
- Must possess basic computer skills to use inventory management software such as Maximo
- Microsoft Excel and Word experience is also preferred.
