About the role
- Tasks will be geared toward supporting production rate and launch manifests while maintaining a safe, team-driven work environment as we work toward manned missions and Mars.
Responsibilities
- Reviews relevant transportation documentation prior to departure to ensure transport strategy is in proper order for flight vehicle transport (permits, height checklist, pre- and post-trip) and implements contingency plans to mitigate risk
- Develops, documents, and coordinates work instructions with logistics management teams to ensure efficient packaging of flight vehicles and modules, and maintenance of equipment
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with scheduling, process planning, project management, oversize load transport, inventory management, or maintenance operations
- Must be available to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed based on operational needs

- Must be available to travel 25-50% of the time
- Ability to work at elevated heights
- flight hardware is typically built in tight quarters and physical dexterity is required
- Ability to pass Space Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or supply chain
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for receiving, maintenance, inventory, or work order systems
- Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and CFR (Code of Federal Regulations)
- Knowledge of on-site and off-site transportation requirements, including over-the-road shipping
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, etc.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience working in a challenging and fast-paced environment
- Valid HAZMAT certification
Compensation
- Assists in the development and implementation of annual and long-term technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial objectives for logistics activities and participates in the development of overall annual and long-term objectives
