About the role
- You will define the platform strategy and oversee a large team delivering secure, reliable, cost-efficient, developer-friendly platforms: CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/EKS, observability, and security-by-default.

- Set technical direction for build/release, infrastructure automation, Kubernetes/EKS runtime, and observability.

- Drive cost, performance, and availability improvements; own platform budgets/forecasts and FinOps practices.
- Enforce security-by-design: SCA/SAST/DAST in pipelines, secrets management, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, runtime hardening.
- Lead remediation SLAs with Security; maintain audit-ready evidence for enterprise standards and regulations.
- Direct the design/operations of secure AWS platforms using IaC (Terraform/Pulumi) with drift detection and change controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven track record delivering secure, reliable, cross-team platforms serving many product squads.
- Experience with SOC2 compliance.
- Proficiency in Python/Bash
Nice to have
- AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional and/or AWS Solutions Architect (Assoc/Pro).
- Experience with data/streaming platforms (e.g., Databricks/Kafka) or edge/low-latency systems.
- Vendor consolidation and contract negotiation experience.
- IaC expertise (Terraform preferred
- Pulumi a plus) with sound practices (modularity, versioning, policy checks, drift detection).
Skills
- Establish org-wide guardrails (golden paths, reference architectures, policy-as-code) enabling autonomy with compliance.

- Publish clear reference architectures, runbooks, and standards; keep documentation current and discoverable.
