About the role
- We are a leading fire protection and low voltage service company seeking experienced employees.
- The Sprinkler Design Technician is responsible for preparing complete and code-compliant fire sprinkler system layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material lists for construction, tenant improvement, and service projects. This role includes some project management and works closely with sales, and field crews to ensure designs meet NFPA standards,
Nice to have
- 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler system design.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 25, plus local code requirements.
- Ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, coordination, and field constraints.
- High school diploma required, associate's or technical degree in drafting, engineering, or related field preferred.
- NICET Level II or higher required.
- Autodesk, Hydratech or BIM training/certifications a plus.
