About the role

  • Provides the services of a Patient Observer (Sitter) for any patient who has been assessed to require constant observation in order to maximize his/her safety.
  • The NA II/UC needs to understand the patient's condition to ensure their care and safety.

Responsibilities

  • 2 - Professional Development - Maintains current knowledge/certification.
  • a - *Maintains BLS certification.
  • Maintains awareness of MSDS sheets and how to access.
  • b - Collaborates with Operations Supervisor to maintain/change par levels and to order from outside vendors.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic computer knowledge
  • Required Classes/Skills -
  • Required additional Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
  • a - Utilizes software applications required by department and unit standards.

Nice to have

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Previous Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.

Compensation

  • Once deemed competent, the NA II/UC shall continue to perform phlebotomy duties on a consistent basis (typically on a daily basis), and successfully complete an annual competency assessment.
