About the role

  • As Controller, you are the steward of the resources fueling our method. You will lead a comprehensive accounting function that balances uncompromising accuracy with the agility of a startup. By mastering our financial health and reporting, you enable our leadership to make the bold, data-driven decisions required to redefine the future of healthcare.
  • - Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, tax reporting, and variance analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting functions for multiple entities and locations.
  • Biograph is on a mission to drive meaningful advances in human healthspan and lifespan.
  • You will lead a comprehensive accounting function that balances uncompromising accuracy with the agility of a startup.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role, with a preference for in-house accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with an active CPA license.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with subscription or membership-based business models is an advantage.
  • Proven experience as an early finance hire or sole contributor at a high growth organization.
  • Experience with multi-entities and locations.
  • Managed audits with end-to-end ownership of the process.
  • Comfortable in the dynamic, fast-paced environment of a healthcare technology startup.
  • Healthcare accounting experience.

Compensation

  • Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, tax reporting, and variance analyses.
  • Lead the annual audit process, in partnership with external auditors, and ensure we are "audit-ready" at all times.
  • $130,000 - $160,000 per year
