About the role
- The program ensures that the child care needs of all participants meet the regulatory standards prescribed by federal, provincial, and municipal governments, while embedding Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ culture and values throughout the daily curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Childcare Manager to develop and individualize the Daycare program and curriculum, delivering developmentally and culturally appropriate activities
- Maintains positive communication with parents through daily updates and accommodating care instructions
Nice to have
- 2-3 years of directly related experience as an ECE or ECE-A with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
- Enjoys working with young children and contributing to their healthy development
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution
- Strong cultural sensitivity
- Ability to serve as a positive role model to young children
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent client service skills - friendly, positive, responsive, professional, helpful
- High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
