Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical maintenance, including troubleshooting PLCs, drives, and control systems.
  • Perform breakdown maintenance and assist with mechanical repairs as needed.
  • Support new mechanical installations, integrations, enhancements, modifications, and start-ups for both production lines and facility equipment.
  • Play a key role in developing and executing the preventive maintenance plan for mechanical systems.
  • Perform various plant maintenance tasks, including basic electrical repairs, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities and work performed in the maintenance log system.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to assist in other areas as needed. • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge and experience with ISO based quality systems preferred, but not mandatory
  • 5 years' experience as a electrical technician/electrician in a manufacturing environment
  • 442A licensed journeyman
  • Strong Mechanical/Electrical aptitude
  • Knowledge and experience with sequence control and use PLC (programmable logic controller)
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Must be able to take direction comfortably, able to multi-task, managing time efficiently to obtain optimum results
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
