About the role

- Chemours is seeking a Mechanical/Reliability Engineer to join our growing Manufacturing Technology team.
- This position will be available at the Chambers Works location in Deepwater, NJ and report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager.
Requirements
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of Mechanical Engineering work experience in a chemical manufacturing/hazardous industrial setting or related industry.
- Comfortable working in a team environment, high degree of initiative and self-motivation, and flexibility to monitor and move projects forward quickly and safely.
- Ability to make decisions, work independently, and communicate effectively to a broad audience.
Nice to have
- The incentive pay is dependent on business results and individual performance and subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
- 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering work experience in a chemical manufacturing or hazardous industrial setting.
- SAP Plant Maintenance module experience.
- Knowledge of the principles of Maintenance and reliability best practices including the work management process, rotating equipment and alignment techniques, and basic materials science including material selection and.
- Knowledge of principles of Lubrication, tribology, and fundamentals of interpreting oil analysis results, vibration analysis and data interpretation, and fundamentals of nondestructive testing.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies
Skills
- Supply mechanical expertise for troubleshooting and modifying operating equipment and facilities.
- Handle technical troubleshooting and training to the operations and maintenance teams.
- Lead preventative maintenance (PM) optimization efforts.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving mechanical reliability.
Compensation
- $97,843.00 - $152,880.00
