About the role
- The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- You'll need to be comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Develop a plan for sequence of work. Develop project schedule. Plan and organize project work to assure all work is in place in accordance with contract documents
- Update project schedule monthly and in accordance with contract documents
- Implement the company's safety policies and procedures and corporate QC policies and programs
- The Senior Superintendent in the Clark Water Group oversees all field operations on a project to ensure that self-performed and subcontracted trade work is in compliance with contract documents and the project schedule.
- Senior Superintendents also implement and enforce safety and quality control policies among Clark employees and subcontractors.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related discipline or relevant experience
- 8-10+ years of water/wastewater construction experience with a large-scale commercial contractor or equivalent industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations (i.e., OSHA)
- You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists.
- This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, as well as visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work.
- Take remedial action when required
