About the role
- This role serves as the second-in-command for facility operations and provides leadership across production planning, workforce development, quality control, scheduling, fabrication operations, inventory coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the facility leader in the absence of the Fabrication Manager.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, within quality standards, and in compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- This individual will support current project-driven fabrication demands while helping establish the systems, processes, and operational consistency necessary for future growth.
- Support the Fabrication Manager in leading day-to-day fabrication facility operations.
- Coordinate production schedules, shop workflow, and resource allocation to support project and operational needs.
- Partner with project, field, purchasing, warehouse, and design teams to ensure successful execution of fabrication deliverables.
- Monitor production performance, labor productivity, and operational metrics to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Support implementation of process improvements, standardized work practices, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S initiatives.
- Support development of scalable processes, systems, and operational controls that improve efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate with field and project teams to enhance constructability and overall project performance.
- Maintain quality control processes and fabrication standards.
