About the role

  • The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
  • The project will strengthen Ontario's economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
  • The Control Room Operator reports to the Shift Manager and plays a critical role in monitoring tunnel boring machine (TBM) operations, tunnel systems, and emergency tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain continuous availability throughout the shift to respond to phone calls, radio communications, and operational inquiries.
  • Support the safe and efficient operation of tunneling activities by ensuring timely reporting and escalation of issues.

Requirements

  • Assist in documenting incidents, observations, and operational communications as required.
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to work with monitoring and control systems.

Compensation
