- Job Description: Position Profile Summary: The Residential Worker B provides a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and visitors, delivering Emergency, Transitional and Supportive Housing program services for the ministry unit.
- The salary range is based on the Collective Agreement, not any other factors.
Responsibilities
- Acts as a positive role model for clients by developing professional interpersonal relationships that promote dignity and respect.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Building on our roots as a world-wide Christian church, each year we help more than 2 million people, providing necessities such as food, clothing and shelter.
- In addition, we support people experiencing unemployment, addiction and family challenges.
- Performs basic building maintenance.
Requirements
- Required to complete Praesidum Academy training modules relevant to position.
- The successful candidate must have completed High School.
- One to two (1-2) years of prior related experience, including experience in a social service setting, working with marginalized individuals, and a social services background.
- Experience and Skilled Knowledge
- Conducts all required shift change procedures prior to and after shift change.
- Maintains required documentation and shelter log.
- Complete and distribute paperwork as required.
- performs spot cleaning as required.

- Collects and disposes of refuse and maintains clean refuse area; performs spot cleaning as required.
- Minimum one to two (1-2) year certificate in a Social Services related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills
- Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint); Internet and Email.
- Familiar with administration and file management procedures.
- Attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality with professional ethics and a balanced sense of fairness and flexibility.
- Complete tasks with minimum amount of supervision.
- Be flexible, motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast paced non-profit and union environment; be an efficient problem solver.
Compensation
- Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
- Required to complete general orientation, including safety in the workplace training and annual review.
