About the role
- The demonstration of leadership is critical for success in this position.
- This position is split between the Garrison Green and Rouleau Manor locations.

Responsibilities
- The Recreation Therapist assists with the orientation, supervision and evaluation of support staff, students and volunteers as requested.
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized Bachelors Degree program in Recreation Therapy, Leisure Studies, Recreation Administration or a related field.
- Current and active registration in the Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) is required.
- Current and active Basic Life Support Provider CPR is required.
- Experience using a broad range of Recreation Therapy interventions with a variety of client populations is an asset
- Responsible for other related duties as required.
- Employees are required to use technologies, devices, resources, and systems provided by the employer, as per Carewest policy and procedure.
- Adherence to relevant privacy legislation and best practice including HIA, ATIA, POPA, and InfoCare Behaviours, is required.
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) designation is an asset.
Nice to have
- 3 years recreation therapy experience is preferred.
