About the role

  • The Department of Supportive Care (DSC) is made up of three divisions - Psychosocial Oncology (PSO), Cancer Rehab & Survivorship, and Palliative Care.
  • Providing positive patient experiences in an outpatient clinical setting, meeting quality standards set out by UHN including registering patients, as needed, in UHN's EPIC EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system, Epic
  • Ensuring efficient operation of the office, clinic spaces and front desks, within scope of authority

Responsibilities

  • This position is to support the PSO at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
  • Support the timely and efficient processing of incoming referrals, scheduling/rescheduling of patient appointments, responding to patients' general inquiries, and cancelling patient appointments
  • Complete administrative tasks that support data entry for patient tracking requirements and maintaining several electronic calendars
  • Two (2) years related administrative support experience

Requirements

  • Experience working with EPIC EMR for managing referrals, appointment scheduling, and standard clinical operations is required
  • Experience working with database and spreadsheet software is an asset
  • Experience working in a teaching hospital environment is an asset

Nice to have

  • Previous on-the-job computer/word-processing in a Microsoft Office environment is preferred
