About the role
- Continuously improve lab capabilities and operations by implementing new technologies and optimizing space for faster and more efficient workflows
- Ensure spaces comply with safety regulations and industry standards
- Utilize various fabrication methods, including additive and subtractive manufacturing, to produce high-quality prototype parts.
Responsibilities
- You will go beyond managing equipment and facilities; you will be a key enabler of technical and operational success, ensuring that the R&D lab spaces are designed for efficiency and collaboration.
- Engineering Lab Design and Operations:
- Design and build lab spaces to meet the evolving needs of the engineering and manufacturing teams
- Own and maintain inventory of all lab equipment, including tools, chemicals, and consumables
- Implement systems for lab organization and cleanliness, and train users accordingly
- Provide hands-on technical support to engineers and technicians by building prototypes, setting up stations and running tests
- Operate and maintain a range of machines and power/hand tools necessary for prototyping
Requirements
- Familiarity with R&D lab equipment, tools and workflows
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, model making, fabrication, testing, and lab operations
Nice to have
- Previous experience in a prototyping environment
- Experience programming and operating laser cutters, 3D printers, and CNC machines
- Experience with inventory management systems and quality control processes

Compensation
- The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the following range.
- Your actual base pay will be determined by your job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
- As such, in addition to base salary, Neuralink offers equity compensation (in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSU)) for all full-time employees.
