About the role
- We integrate with all major US healthcare IT systems and tap into comprehensive medical data for 300+ million individuals.
- We're a tight-knit, high-performing team of mostly former founders (including two YC alumni).
- We're engineering-heavy, operate with minimal bureaucracy and high autonomy, and hire based on competence, not prestige.
Responsibilities
- After ramping up on our internal tools and workflows, you'll own the systems that make our teams more efficient and more secure.
- Building Automations End-to-End: Designing and shipping integrations between our internal and third-party systems - from scoping the requirement with a stakeholder, to deploying a working solution, to making sure it doesn't break quietly.
- We deploy a wide range of AWS cloud services (ie ECS, Fargate, Lambda, etc), and manage our infrastructure as code with AWS CDK.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a software engineering, automation, or internal tools role - ideally at a startup where you wore multiple hats.
- TypeScript proficiency: Our entire stack is TypeScript.
- React proficiency: Our internal operations tool is React-based.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and are comfortable working directly with stakeholders across Eng, Ops, and business teams to understand their needs and translate them into working solutions.
- You're a hacker at heart - you get excited about wiring together services that weren't built to talk to each other, and you know how to make it work securely and at scale.
- You follow the AI tooling space closely and try to use it to solve real business problems, but you have the judgment to know what's appropriate for an enterprise context and what's a hard no.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with our tooling ecosystem: AWS (Athena, Lambda, etc.), Slack, GitHub Actions, Pylon, PostHog, GSuite.
- Experience with integration platforms like Zapier, n8n, or Make.
- Experience using LLMs or AI agents to automate workflows (prompt engineering, API integration, tool use).
Skills
- Hands-on experience connecting APIs, webhooks, and third-party services.
