About the role

  • The Supervisor will provide staff with hiring, training, and development that focuses on elevating the departments overall skill sets and knowledge.
  • Environmental Conditions • Work is performed in an industrial mill environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the planning and implementation of maintenance projects
  • Consistently implements LOTO and Hot Work programs as per company policies.
  • Maintains safety awareness by training, eliminating safety issues and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Develops plans to complete short- and long-range work projects; and executes those plans
  • Leads the planning, scheduling and purchasing processes to ensure adequate inventories are available; planning of work is proactively organized; and that compliance of budgetary concerns are in place.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited degree program
  • or extensive on-the-job knowledge in lieu of a degree.
  • Over 7 years of experience as a millwright
  • A rotation schedule of on-call hours is required.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in a wood products manufacturing environment is preferred
