About the role

  • Position Description The Contracts & Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting commercial contracting and procurement execution across Oklo's engineering, manufacturing, construction, operations, and corporate functions.
  • This position reports to the Senior Procurement Manager and may be based in Santa Clara, CA or remotely within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Support commercial negotiations related to pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, liability provisions, insurance requirements, and risk allocation
  • Maintain contract records, amendments, renewals, deliverables, and closeout documentation
  • Support development and continuous improvement of contracting processes, templates, and workflows
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, Operations, Quality, and Finance teams to support project execution
  • Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Legal Studies, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, commercial management, supply chain operations, or related disciplines
  • Experience drafting, negotiating, and administering commercial agreements and purchase orders
  • Experience supporting sourcing and procurement activities across multiple categories of spend
  • You don't need or expect to have a lot of guidance but you enjoy working in a fast-paced team.
  • For the first two weeks of onboarding, employees are required to be in person at headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting engineering services, manufacturing, construction, EPC, or industrial projects
  • Experience in nuclear, energy, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience with procurement, contract lifecycle management, or ERP systems such as Coupa, Ironclad, SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting supplier management and supplier performance initiatives
  • Knowledge of commercial risk assessment and contract negotiation strategies
  • Experience supporting rapidly growing organizations or large-scale project execution
  • Familiarity with quality assurance requirements, safety-related procurement, or NQA-1 environments
  • Passionate about clean energy

Compensation

  • Salary: $100,000-140,000
