About the role
- Luxury Engineering - A new business unit within Bose corporation is looking for a McIntosh Lead Certification Engineer who will own the product certification process across the portfolio-from concept through production release.
- This role will manage compliance strategy, testing, and documentation for all global market requirements, ensuring timely product approvals and maintaining McIntosh's reputation for uncompromising quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Lead all regulatory certification activities for McIntosh products, including safety, EMC/EMI, RF, environmental, and energy efficiency compliance.
- Develop and execute certification strategies and test plans in collaboration with design, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable standards (e.g., IEC/EN/UL 60065, 62368-1, 61000-6-x, 55032, 55035) and ensure designs comply from early stages.
- Serve as internal subject-matter expert for regulatory design guidance and pre-compliance testing.
- Maintain the McIntosh certification database and compliance records, ensuring traceability and timely renewals.
- Support factory audits, production inspections, and change control to maintain certification validity throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in product compliance, testing, or certification engineering.
- Demonstrated experience with audio, consumer electronics, or RF products.
- In-depth knowledge of international safety and EMC standards and certification processes.
- Proven experience working with third-party test labs and regulatory agencies.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Experience with wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) certification and test requirements.
- Familiarity with environmental and sustainability regulations for consumer electronics.
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects and teams.

- Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
