About the role

- The Liver Transplant Team at Cleveland Clinic is comprised of surgeons, liver transplant physicians, coordinators, nurses, social workers and a vast network of people and resources to make the liver transplant process as smooth as possible.
- This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic's Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour day shift during the week.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional nursing care in an operative setting to adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
- Perform scrub functions, such as selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
- Perform circulating functions, such as monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing the overall nursing care of patients before, during and after the procedure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 6 months of hire
Requirements
- One year RN experience required or completion of Cleveland Clinic perioperative residency program.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing > than 75 pounds periodically.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
