- The Charlotte-based Tegna Service Center has an opening for a Broadcast Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operations of broadcast systems in a primary hub environment that supports the air paths and OTT of all Tegna stations across the US.
- Create and maintain wiring documentation and system configuration documentation. Familiarity with station flow diagrams.
- Maintain knowledge and stay current on technological advances including television broadcasting and associated broadcast equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work on elevated surfaces, pull and install wiring, use had and power tools, work on small components and perform other physical tasks.
- This position is responsible for integration, maintenance, operation and support of broadcast equipment and reports to the Head of Technology and Operations.
Requirements
- Minimum three years' broadcast maintenance experience in a television broadcasting environment or hub.
- In-depth knowledge of broadcast technologies including
- Ability to work well and make solid decisions under pressure.
- Willing to train, if required, on IT and broadcast system operation and maintenance to service all aspects of the television hub environment.
Compensation
