About the role
- The Business, Education, and Human Sciences Librarian is a member of a team responsible for providing general and specialized research, instruction, outreach, and collection development services.
- The position serves as University Libraries' (UL) primary contact with the College of Business and Economic Development, supporting instructional and research resource needs on the Hattiesburg and Long Beach campuses.
- The position serves as the primary contact between UL and Gulf Coast programs in the College of Education and Human Sciences, supporting instructional and research resource needs.
Responsibilities
- The position engages in outreach initiatives that build awareness of library resources and services.
- May participate in library programs that support open access and research data management within the scope of evolving library services.
Requirements
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship.
- Actively cultivating relationships with faculty, staff, and students in assigned academic areas is required.
- Some travel between the Long Beach and Hattiesburg campuses is required.
