About the role
- You'll join the engineering team behind Beacon, Clearwater's front office platform used by investment banks, hedge funds, asset managers, and insurance companies.
- This is not a quant role, but you'll work closely with people who speak the language of markets.
- You should be comfortable learning the domain.
Responsibilities
- Data pipeline experience, you've built or maintained ETL/ELT workflows in production CS fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, system design basics
Requirements
- Python proficiency, production-grade Python, not just scripts
- Experience with Kafka, Redis, or other streaming/messaging systems
- Familiarity with market data vendors or financial data formats (FIX, FPML, Bloomberg API)
Skills
- Python SQL Kafka AWS / Azure Redis REST APIs Bloomberg / Refinitiv FIX Protocol
- Time series frameworks for storing and querying financial data efficiently
- Integrations with third-party financial platforms and internal Beacon framework features
- Cloud experience, AWS or Azure in a data engineering context
- NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB) alongside relational
Compensation
- $137,770.00 - $178,250.00 This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
- Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).
