About the role
- Position Overview The Technical Product Manager (TPM) bridges the gap between complex business workflows and technical engineering execution.
- Operating within GDOT’s enterprise IT environment, the TPM is responsible for assessment of specialized applications, platforms or data product requests.
- This role requires a blend of business acumen and a deep understanding of technical architecture, system integrations, and data structures.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate APIs, data integration plans, and existing software capabilities within the IT and Transportation Tech markets to determine buy-vs-build strategies.
- Develop, standardize, and maintain guidelines, templates, operating procedures, and training materials to help business users submit high-quality project requests.
Requirements
- Familiarity with data pipelines, GIS/spatial data systems, cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS), or enterprise service platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Experience overseeing outsourced or contractor-led software development efforts is highly desirable
- Product Management or Technical Program Management Required 4 Years Familiarity with data pipelines, GIS/spatial data systems, cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS), or enterprise service platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Experience overseeing outsourced or contractor-led software development efforts is highly desirable Highly desired 2 Years
Nice to have

- Required 2 Years Vendor Management: Experience overseeing outsourced or contractor-led software development efforts is highly desirable Highly desired 2 Years
- 4+ years of product management or technical program management experience, preferably within a government agency, enterprise IT, or transportation technology ecosystem.
