Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the standard of care defined by UAMS, ANA, and Standards for specialty patient population with support and mentoring by other team members.
  • Collects and documents assessment data.
  • Administers medication per standard including drug information to patients/families. Acts as a resource/supports others.
  • Delivers patient care using the principles of the defined nursing modality.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.
  • 1 year of Registered Nursing experience.

  • Required:
  • Valid RN License.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong work ethics and accountability.
  • Preferred:

  • Additional Information:

Nice to have

  • 2 or more years of nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year in an acute care setting such as a teaching hospital.
  • 1 year or more of Oncology RN experience.
  • National Certification.

Skills

  • The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to assigned patients in Medical Oncology/Family Medicine (H7).
  • This area also provides learning opportunities in all areas of medical-surgical nursing.
  • Biological, Chemical, Sharp Objects/Tools, Dust, Fumes/Gases/Odors
